Kirk Patrick — ML Platform Architect
I've spent 16+ years at the intersection of infrastructure and machine learning — the gap where most systems break.

My career spans finance, insurance, healthcare, transportation, and agribusiness across Brazil, the UK, USA, Canada, Germany, and Portugal. I've built platforms under FDA 21 CFR Part 11, designed fintech systems for BaFin compliance, migrated insurance data under Canadian residency laws, integrated carriers across 45 European countries, and architected intelligent transportation systems for government clients in the US and Europe.

Today, I'm focused on AI agent infrastructure — building the compliance and orchestration layers that make multi-agent systems production-ready for regulated markets, including open protocols designed for EU AI Act, GDPR, and MiFID II auditability.

What makes me different: I'm not just infra without understanding ML, or data science without knowing how to ship to production. I close the entire gap — from architecture design to production deployment, with an obsession for performance at every layer.

Architecting the ARSIA Protocol — an open standard adding the missing compliance layer to multi-agent AI systems: identity, state provenance, action scoping, asset tracking, and immutable audit trails. Designed to sit on top of MCP (Anthropic) and A2A (Google), making agent-to-agent interactions audit-ready for EU AI Act, GDPR, and MiFID II. Large-scale database migration from SQL Server and Oracle to AWS for one of Canada's oldest insurers. Leveraged AWS Glue, DMS, Data Pipeline, S3, and Lake Formation with full traceability. Led backend and architecture for SmartBroker+, a cloud-native fintech built from scratch for the German market under BaFin directives and EU financial standards. Owned the entire onboarding domain — identity verification, KYC/AML checks, bank account creation, card issuance, and investment account provisioning. Integration of European train and coach carriers (270+ operators, 45 countries) on one of Europe's largest multimodal travel platforms.
